Most Ontario HVAC owners ask us the same handful of questions before they decide anything: what it costs, whether they're locked in, how long it takes, and what happens if it doesn't work. The answers are below, without padding. If your question isn't here, call, text or email and ask it directly.
Frequently asked questions
How much does HVAC marketing cost with you?
Starter costs $2,998 a month, Growth $4,498 and Elite $8,998. Websites are one-time projects at $3,500, $6,500 or $12,500, plus monthly hosting. All prices are Canadian dollars; Ontario clients add 13% HST. Ad spend is paid to the platforms separately.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. There's no lock-in. You can begin with a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card, then decide month by month whether the work is paying off.
How soon will we see results?
Paid search can bring calls within days of launch. Local SEO usually shows early movement in a few months and builds over six to twelve. We'll tell you up front what to expect in your region and when to judge it.
We tried an agency before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?
We can't promise it will be, but we can show you how we'd judge it. You get a written plan, your accounts stay in your name, and reports show calls, booked jobs and cost per job rather than impressions. If the numbers don't justify the spend, you can stop.
Who owns the website, Google Business Profile and ad accounts?
You do. Domains, profiles, analytics and ad accounts are set up in your company's name, or transferred to it. If you leave, you take everything with you.
Can you promise a ranking or a set number of leads?
No. Google decides rankings, and lead volume depends on your market, season and capacity. Any agency that promises a set position or lead count is guessing or bending rules.
What do your reports show?
Calls, texts and emails by channel, booked jobs where you share job data, cost per booked job, and the towns and services producing them. Growth plans get weekly reporting; Starter gets monthly.
Do you work only with large companies?
No. Many Ontario HVAC companies we'd suit are owner-operated with a few trucks. The Starter plan is designed for a single-location company in one region.
Are you an HVAC contractor?
No. We market and advise HVAC companies. We don't install, repair or service any equipment and we don't hold TSSA or ESA registrations.
Can you market services we aren't licensed for, like electrical panel upgrades?
No. In Ontario, ESA says businesses offering electrical installation services to the public must be licensed. We keep your marketing within the work your registrations and licences cover.
Do you work across all of Ontario?
Yes, from Windsor to Ottawa and north to Thunder Bay. Our region pages cover the GTA, Ottawa, Hamilton, London and Southwestern Ontario, Niagara and Northern Ontario, and we serve other towns too.
How do we start?
Call, text or email with your website, the towns you serve and the jobs you want more of. We'll set up the 7-day free trial and talk through what we find.
Cost and contracts
Short answer: fixed monthly plans, separate ad spend, no lock-in.
Our plans run from $2,998 to $8,998 a month, and websites from $3,500 one-time. Ad spend goes straight to Google or Meta from your own accounts. The pricing page breaks down what each plan includes, and the 7-day free trial lets you see our thinking before you pay anything.
A useful habit before you buy marketing from anyone: work out your gross margin on an average job and your close rate on qualified calls. Those two numbers tell you the most you can sensibly pay for a call, and they make every conversation with an agency more honest.
Timing and expectations
Short answer: ads are fast, SEO is slow, and both should be judged against your season.
An Ontario HVAC company's year has natural peaks. Judging a campaign launched in May by June's numbers, or SEO started in October by November's, leads to bad decisions. We'll set the review points with you at the start. Our marketing calendar guide shows how demand moves through the year.
If you've been burned before
Short answer: ask for ownership, a written plan and job-level reporting, from us or anyone.
Three warning signs are worth checking in any agency relationship: accounts held in the agency's name, reports full of impressions with no calls, and long contracts. We avoid all three. Your accounts are yours, reporting is in booked jobs where you share the data, and there's no lock-in. If you'd like a second opinion on an existing agency's work, the free trial is a fair way to get one.
Questions to ask any HVAC marketing agency
Short answer: six questions separate a real plan from a sales pitch.
Whether you hire us or someone else, ask these before you sign:
- Whose name are the accounts in? The answer should be yours, for the website, domain, Business Profile, analytics and ad accounts.
- What exactly will you do each month? "SEO" isn't an answer. Pages written, profiles updated, campaigns adjusted and reviews requested are.
- How will we know it's working? Look for calls, booked jobs and cost per job, not just traffic charts.
- Which towns and services will you focus on first, and why? A good agency can explain the choice using your region's data.
- What won't you do? Fake reviews, virtual offices and copy-paste town pages should all be on that list.
- How do we leave? Notice periods, account transfers and who keeps the content should be clear on day one.
If an agency can't answer these in plain language, keep looking. We're happy to answer every one of them on the first call.
Working with us day to day
Short answer: one strategist, a monthly rhythm and no surprises.
Once you start, a senior strategist works on your account and plans around your region. Each month you get a short report and a list of what was done; on Growth and Elite plans, reporting is weekly. In peak heating weeks we check ad accounts more often and tell you if we're shifting budget between towns. If you add a service, open a location or hire a crew, tell us so the plan changes with you. And if something isn't working, say so; we'd rather fix it in month two than discover it in month six.
Regions, licences and positioning
Short answer: we cover all of Ontario and keep your marketing inside your licences.
We plan by region because the data differ so much across the province; see the areas pages. We're a marketing and business consulting service, not a contractor, and we never advertise work your TSSA registration or ESA licence doesn't cover. To understand how we run the work, read about us or browse the services.
